ABOUT
An award-winning graphic designer and art director, Rita Valencia has created some of the most memorable and iconic images in the field: the celluloid noose of Robert Altman's The Player, the headless Statue of Liberty for J.J. Abrams' groundbreaking Cloverfield, and the haunting image of Julianne Moore's face inhabited by ghostly beings for The Forgotten. Her poster credits include both independent art films by filmmakers such as Atom Egoyan, Robert Altman, Michael Tolkin, Miguel Arteta, Mike Leigh and Kirby Dick; as well as major studio films, film festivals, cable television specials and series. Valencia is the recipient of several Key Art Awards, a Golden Trailer Award, and an IMPAwards Best Poster nomination.

As an independent creative director based in Los Angeles, Valencia is a resource for the entertainment industry, independent producers, distributors, publicists, and any creative team seeking strong, stylish and conceptually-driven design work.

Working alone or with creative partners, she is able to offer a full range of design, illustration, art direction and copywriting services.

A resume is available upon request.
